My review of Biscotts Pastries!
I love to cook! Baking, on the other hand, is not my expertise. And where I love deserts, as a recovering 300+ lb person I don’t think it is wise to make them all the time. And because practice makes perfect I am stuck in a dilemma, when I need to make a baked good try my own hand or go to a bakery.
But I can’t stand the in-store bakeries at Wal-Mark, Target, or Smiths! Their frosting tastes like plastic, and the cakes sometimes taste like a sponge. or they just tasted way to sugary. Maybe it’s just the fact I grew up with my sister’s who knew how to bake, but I don’t think it unfair to want a good cake!
This is why I was excited when Biscotts Pastries opened in South Jordan Utah. I recently brought their chocolate cake for a family Christmas party. I know, risky move…
The cake looked amazing!
My mom was not sure when I proclaimed I would bring the cake. But it was amazing, the frosting was perfectly done, it tasted great and was not too sugary. And the cake was moist and flavor-packed. It was also the perfect size! To cut into 12 nice size slices! My mother and baking whiz sister even gave it stamps of approval!
And it tasted even better!
My sister was actually super hesitant at first, she was on a diet and did not want to waste calories on a store-bought cake. She ended up having second of the cake it was so good! But the most surprising thing was the fact that the next day the leftovers still tasted better than most cakes to fresh!
So if you’re looking for a bakery for either a birthday, holiday or business party look no further than Biscotts Pastries (1098 S Jordan Pkwy #110, South Jordan, UT 84095) , I highly recommend their chocolate berry cake! It was divine!
