Taking the “Curse” out of People.
“And they began to be a very industrious people; yea, and they were friendly with the Nephites; therefore, they did open a correspondence with them, and the curse of God did no more follow them.” Alma 23:18
The Lamanites were cursed, they lived in horrid conditions. The curse, that the wicked would not prosper long term was in full effect.
But when they accepted Christ he removed the curse because their sins were removed, and their desire to sin was removed. Once removed they became “a very industrious people” and they started to thrive.
Christ still does the same thing as people, groups, and nations come unto Him: He will remove sin, help change their desires, and the curse will follow them no more.
