Hey everyone, as many of you know I love running. It is while running that I have listened to the majority of the 7000 conference talks I have read/listened to. Two summers ago, I ran the equivalent of Nauvoo to Salt Lake City. So, I am super excited to be working with the Utah Valley Marathon this next summer to offer my readers 15% off a race registration!

The 2026 Utah Valley Marathon will take place on June 6th and will have a Marathon, half-marathon, 10k, and 5k (the 5k is on the 5th). I invite you to register and join me in running this race. Click HERE https://www.raceentry.com/races/utah-valley-marathon-and-half-marathon-10k/2026/register. I love this course. I have done the half-marathon three times now, and I have done 10k five times. Here are some fun photos from years prior.
In 2018, I ran the 10k with my now in-laws, while Emily was on her mission. (This was before both of her parents were diagnosed with stage four cancer, which happened in 2019).In 2019, I ran the race with Emily just after we got engaged. We did just the 10k as she had only gotten back from her mission 5 weeks earlier and was not ready for a half.In 2020, we celebrated the finish line of our virtual half with the Utah Valley Marathon at Ft Utah in Provo. (It was virtual due to lockdowns). In 2021, Emily had Victoria only a few months before the race, so I ran the race with my good friend Dan. Emily (and Dan’s now wife Ella) and baby Tori met us at the finish line.In 2022, I wanted to get a sub-2-hour half. It would be a new PR. I came in at a chip time of 1:56:01!In 2023, Emily was recovering from having Sophia, so I ran the 10k by myself. 2023 was the year I ran the distance from Nauvoo to Salt Lake, this race took place in Nebraska. In 2024, I ran with Emily. Emily set a New Year’s resolution to run a half, in January she got pregnant, sill determined in June, six months pregnant, and she ran a half in under 3 hours!!!In 2025, Emily smashed her goal of a sub-65-minute 10k postpartum by nearly 5 whole minutes!!
