10 Beautiful Quotes On The Temple From President Russell M. Nelson

I have been studying the life of President Russell M. Nelson and I have fallen in love with his talks about the Temple. As a doctor, he talks a lot about life, death and consequently the temple. I want to share 10 of my favorite quotes about the Temple I have found from President Russell M. Nelson.

“Our need to be in the temple on a regular basis has never been greater. I plead with you to take a prayerful look at how you spend your time. Invest time in your future and in that of your family. If you have reasonable access to a temple, I urge you to find a way to make an appointment regularly with the Lord—to be in His holy house—then keep that appointment with exactness and joy. I promise you that the Lord will bring the miracles He knows you need as you make sacrifices to serve and worship in His temples.”
Russell M. Nelson

“I like to recommend that members going to the temple for the first time read short explanatory paragraphs in the Bible Dictionary, listed under seven topics: “Anoint,” “Atonement,” “Christ,” “Covenant,” “Fall of Adam,” “Sacrifices,” and “Temple.” Doing so will provide a firm foundation.”

“As temples are prepared for our members, our members need to prepare for the temple.”
Russell M. Nelson

“Building and maintaining temples may not change your life, but spending your time in the temple surely will. To those who have long been absent from the temple, I encourage you to prepare and return as soon as possible. Then I invite you to worship in the temple and pray to feel deeply the Savior’s infinite love for you, that each of you may gain your own testimony that He directs this sacred and ageless work.”
Russell M. Nelson

“The temple is the house of the Lord. The basis for every temple ordinance and covenant—the heart of the plan of salvation—is the Atonement of Jesus Christ.”

“The Lord loves to do His own teaching in His holy house. Imagine how pleased He would be if you asked Him to teach you about priesthood keys, authority, and power as you experience the ordinances of the Melchizedek Priesthood in the holy temple.”

“Because the temple is the house of the Lord, standards for admission are set by Him. One enters as His guest. To hold a temple recommend is a priceless privilege and a tangible sign of obedience to God and His prophets.”

I woke up in the middle of the night and started reading your material. It was fascinating. I hate to admit but i had only heard of the "Holies of Holies" but didnt realize there was one in each Temple. I thought it was only in the Salt!Lake Temple. I really enjoyed your quotes. I am an old lady and the Timp Temple is my Temple. I lived in Lehi when it was being built. I helped doing various things. We then moved to AZ and Idaho before getting back to Highland. I am glad to be back. Love all the changes.
