All things witness there is a God.
“…all things denote there is a God; yea, even the earth, and all things that are upon the face of it, yea, and its motion, yea, and also all the planets which move in their regular form do witness that there is a Supreme Creator.” Alma 30:44
Alma believed in God, he views everything around him as witnesses of the “Supreme Creator.”
Too often we think of religion and science at odds with each other. That is just not the case! Elder Scott was a Nuclear Physicist, President Oaks is a Lawer and the Prophet is a world-renowned heart surgeon! Religion is not at odds with science. Another famous person, Albert Einstein also viewed everything around him as a witness of the Supreme Creator.

This notion that it is either God or science, but this is a false proposition. God is the Supreme Creator and all as such the master of all the laws of nature and science.
“There is no conflict between the facts and truths of science and those given to us by direct revelation…Apparent conflicts arise when the theories of science—which serve as a scaffolding erected to try to understand relationships among observed facts—are mistaken for the experimentally verified facts.”

Trials will come.
“Wilt thou grant unto them that they may have strength, that they may bear their afflictions which shall come upon them because of the iniquities of this people.” Alma 31:33
During testimony meeting, one lady stood up and said. “Everyone is talking about how life has been hard lately, for me life is actually going really good right now, I guess that means I have trials coming soon”.
Why would she think that? Because she understood life is a time of testing. And that in our quest to FOLLOW Christ, we will experience some of the same trials that He had to endure.
Sometimes we fall into the trap that we don’t need trials, and that a loving God would take them away. But even Jesus Christ had trials!
“Therefore, how can you and I really expect to glide naively through life, as if to say, ‘Lord, give me experience, but not grief, not sorrow, not pain, not opposition, not betrayal, and certainly not to be forsaken. Keep from me, Lord, all those experiences which made Thee what Thou art! Then let me come and dwell with Thee and fully share Thy joy!'”
